1st day: 13.02.2023

The content of the online meeting

              The first day of the meeting started in the morning with the registration of participants. After registration, we welcomed the Norwegian partner FAFO. The program of the work plan, activities and division of responsibilities were discussed.

              This was followed by the introduction of individual project participants. After the presentation, the first presentation began, which was presented by Mr. Miloš Sabol – an OSH expert. The topic was “Disease prevention tools in connection with COVID-19 in Slovak companies and institutions.” Within this topic, recommendations for ensuring measures at employers’ workplaces, possibilities of prevention against the disease of COVID-19 as well as various proposals to support the well-being of employees after the pandemic were discussed. However, the main emphasis was placed on prevention and support of mental health. After the presentation of the first topic, a lunch break followed.

              The break was followed by a presentation by FAFO’s Norwegian partner, who presented the topic: “Norwegian best practices for improving working conditions.” A summary of the meeting and a discussion followed.

2nd day: 14.02.2023

              After the registration of the participants, the day began with a presentation on the topic: “New OSH principles and protocols in the field of mental health in the context of COVID19”, which was presented by Mr. Tomáš Takáč. An important part of this topic was the implementation of safe work practices to limit exposure to the COVID-19 virus, ways to integrate workers back into work after a period of workplace closures, management of workers working from home, and also recommendations on how to maintain safety and health while working from home. Here, Mr. Takáč discussed in detail the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and emphasized the need to take into account its consequences in health and safety policies. After the presentation of the first topic, a lunch break followed.

              The break was followed by a presentation by the Norwegian partner FAFO, who presented the topic: “Introduction to social dialogue, advice and recommendations to improve working conditions, related to the prevention and management of COVID19 – implementation of Norwegian procedures.”

              This presentation was followed by a summary of the meeting and a discussion where various interesting supplementary questions were discussed.
